
Valley National 8-Ball League Association is a pool league that has almost 100,000 members. There are also dozens of weekly leagues in different cities. It has grown to be the world's biggest amateur pool league with 36 members and 36 countries. In addition, VNEA is an amusement business, generating a boatload of revenue. Apart from participating in local leagues the players are also eligible to compete in Valley National 8-Ball League Association international championships. These championships are held every year from May 27 to June 5.
As a member of the Valley National 8-Ball League Association, players compete in leagues based on their skill level. Every league has a captain who collects league fees and keeps score sheets. The captain coordinates and oversees the team's activities while making sure everyone is aware of the rules. The captain helps organize events and collects scores.

The VNEA promotes good sportsmanship. Players have been rewarded for their efforts, including being awarded the Sportsmanship Award, which is voted on by the VNEA members. The league promotes business at its sponsoring sites. VNEA members are able to access help through the operator assistance network. LeagueSMART Conference offers software, improved table revenue, and better table control. The league also provides a variety of league materials, including score sheets, table markers, envelopes, and other supplies.
VNEA Pool Leagues provide friendly competition for players. They will compete against each other in round-robin format matches. Players must play on 7 by3.5 foot "bar box", coin-operated, pool tables. They are smaller than the regulation 9 by4.5 feet tables. VNEA leagues organize non-team tournaments that allow local players to compete against the best.
VNEA have honored past players for their contributions in the pool league. Caela Gibbons, who has been a part of the league since its beginning in 1999, is one such player. She has won many titles at VNEA World Championships. She has also won numerous tournament title, including Singles, Team events, as well as Women's Regular 8 Ball Singles. She is an active promotor of the VNEA Colorado. She has been a leading fundraiser for Gene Pool League for the past 2 years. She has also held numerous benefit tournaments for cancer research and street kids.

Shane Bloomberg, another pool player, has a long and impressive record in the VNEA. He is the grandson of Jeanie & Gary Bloomberg. Since he was nine years of age, Shane has been an active member of the VNEA. He has been a top-ranked pool player in the world. He is a regular competitor in the Pro Tour. He will likely be named Player-of-the-Decade in 2020.
