Jimmy White is one of the most renowned snooker players in the world. Jimmy White was born in Balham, London. He has won 30 professional titles. He is known for his flamboyant style and his great natural talent. His achievements have taken him to the top of the sport across many countries.

He was an English World Cup team member in 1988. In 1979, he won the English Amateur Championship. He was later able to win the World Doubles Championship alongside Alex Higgins. This has made him a well-known sportsman and humorous after-dinner speaker. He is also a dedicated conservationist. As such, he has worked with award winning documentary teams and is an avid animal lover.

Jimmy White began his professional career in 1980s. In the end, he reached the finals of the British Open as well as the Masters. After a successful early career, he remained in the top eight for most of his career. His fortunes started to plummet in the 1990s. Although he wasn't able to recreate his previous success, he did manage to stay in the main tour for a second season.
