The Dynamic Billard Veldhoven Open is in its final phase, and Shane Van Boening has a chance to win the title. American was the Predator World 10 ball Championship champion last year. Joshua Filler, World Pool and Billiards Association 9ball champion, will take on Filler in the final. Both men were able to overcome difficult draw conditions. Filler drew the final round against Gerson Martinez of Peru and Van Boening faced Russia's Fedor Gorst. Filler was up to 6-2, while the Americans led the first phase matches.
Van Boening was the top seed in the 64-player bracket. He had spent countless hours in Qatar practicing his break shot. This helped him breeze through his first four opponents, which he won by a combined score of 44-14. He defeated Orcollo in round one, and then beat David Alcaide in round two.
