There are rules that must be adhered to in competitive games but dodgeball is an easy game that can be played wherever there is internet access. You can choose to line up players or create teams.

Players need to protect themselves against direct headshots

To prevent a player from getting a direct headshot, players must take evasive actions to block the shot. Direct headshots are those where the ball strikes a player directly in the head, with no other contact. The ball must have not touched anything before hitting the head of the player. The ball can also deflect off their bodies or hands before hitting the head. The ball must remain in a straight position when it is hit. Headshots are automatically negated if the player moves out of their normal position.

In dodgeball, players must protect themselves from direct headshots. If the ball strikes a player's head and leaves the thrower's hands, it is considered dead. A player can take a headshot while standing straight. A player who is hit in the head while sitting upright will be ejected.

Dead balls

Dead balls are balls that have not been thrown into play during an actual game. They are used to ensure that players don't receive multiple hits from the same object. A small court with a centerline and two sideslines is used for dodgeball games. The game's rules are honour-based and self-refereed. There are four referees who are stationed at either end of the centerline. The referees will start and end the game and confirm hits and count the time that players have possession of the ball. Each team begins with one ball. Place the two balls in the middle of the court. Each team is allowed to give a grace period of five seconds before releasing a ball.

If a dodgeball is thrown by a team, it will be deemed "dead" if it crosses the boundary line. This means that the player stepping on the border line of the opposing team's team is out. The player who steps on the boundary line of another team's team must return their ball to them within ten seconds. Otherwise, they will be kicked out.

Unsportsmanlike conduct

All participants must follow the rules of dodgeball. Participants must wear shirt or shorts that are not made of sharp metal and no jewelry. A referee is present during the game to keep the game moving and to ensure the safety of players. The referee is responsible for deciding on any contested plays. The decisions of the referees cannot be appealed. If a player is found violating the rules they will be warned. Depending on the severity of the violation, the referee can call a technical foul.

Any participant engaging in dangerous throwing behavior may be asked to leave the game. The referee will notify players who engage with dangerous throwing behavior. If they do, the ball will be handed over to the opposing side. Throws that are high or close to the head of an opponent player are considered dangerous throws. This offense will result in a player being ejected from the match and will prevent him/her from participating in any other games.

Overtime rules

Dodgeball, a sport that involves players trying to catch a ball live before it touches ground, is one example. It is important that players stay within the designated court area. Any player who steps outside the bounds of the court will be expelled from the game. Players can also be kicked out if they touch the ground beyond the center line or attempt to kick the dodgeball. If the game ends in a tie, overtime can be played to determine the winner.

Each team may only retrieve 3 (3) balls to their left of the center hashi. The ball must be placed behind their line of attack before legal throwing. Teams have a time limit of three minutes for overtime. The winning team will have the most players.

Neutral zone

The neutral zone in dodgeball is the space around the court's centreline. The neutral zone in dodgeball refers to the area around the court's centerline. Players can enter this area and not be hit or stepped upon, but they are immediately out if they do. Several offensive and defensive strategies can be used to attack the opponent from inside the neutral zone, but players must avoid getting hit or touched.

Two teams of six are required to play the game. The ball on each side of the court is the property of the team. The team that has the most number of balls must surrender it within 10 second. Two ball retrievers are available to each team for collecting off-court balls. If a ball retriever is found interfering or stepping in the neutral zone, they will be removed from the game.
